BIOSENSORS BV (Europe)
was established in 1996 with the acquisition of PTCA
company Occam
International, BV, based in Eindhoven, Netherlands,
to accelerate the production of PTCA and stent delivery
systems. (PCTA stands for percutaneous transluminal
coronary angioplasty, the "balloon angioplasty" procedure).
The Dutch facility serves as a direct sales and marketing
office which distributes Biosensors' products throughout
Europe, along with highly regarded legacy products marketed
under the Occam brand name. Biosensors BV is also a
procurement center for raw materials and components.
