Biosensors announced joint venture with X-cell medical inc.

Biosensors International and X-Cell Medical, Inc. jointly announced today that they have entered into an agreement to create a fully integrated drug-eluting stent (DES) company dedicated to the development and commercialization of new DES technologies using novel anti-restenotic drug candidates. The new company will have a full product offering generated from the combined in-house expertise and proven development track records of Biosensors and X-Cell along the entire DES value chain, from drug discovery and development through formulation and delivery systems to stent manufacturing.
