Biosensors has unmatched expertise in the
formulation of carefully designed polymers. Our experience
has shown us that where theoretical challenges meet our depth
of expertise and practical know-how, we can engineer a substance
with extremely specific and predictable chemical properties.
We can, for example, customize a polymer to show a certain
degree of solubility in particular in vivo environments characterized
by specific ambient pH readings, temperature ranges, pressure
variables and so on.
This capability led us to formulate the coating used to elute
everolimus from the Challenge stent, and continues to yield
world-class specialty polymer formulations today.
